It’s time to take on your chronic low back pain.
The RESTORE Study is evaluating VIA Disc NP - an investigational, one-time treatment for chronic low back pain. No cost to participate.
In the United States, 25 million people suffer from chronic low back pain each year. For nearly half of these people, the pain is caused by a damaged spinal disc in the lower back. When conservative remedies fail to relieve pain, many people are faced with an unsettling future – escalating use of pain medications, major spine surgery, or continued suffering.
If you have had low back pain for at least 6 months, or have been told you have a damaged spinal disc, you may qualify for the RESTORE Study. The study is evaluating VIA Disc NP – an investigational, one-time injection for the treatment of chronic low back pain. If you qualify and choose to join the RESTORE Study you may receive the VIA Disc NP treatment and all study-related care at no cost.
Back Pain & Degenerative Disc Disease
The discs in our spine act as shock absorbers, reducing stress on the spine. Over time, these discs can deteriorate through normal aging and injury, causing flattening and loss of natural cushioning. Disc degeneration usually begins in the center of the disc, called the nucleus pulopsus, and is strongly associated with chronic low back pain. Currently, there are limited minimally invastive treatments that specifically target this underlying source of low back pain.
What is VIA Disc NP?
VIA Disc NP is a new investigational product designed to supplement damaged nucleus tissue to support the natural cushioning function of the disc – all through a simple, outpatient procedure. The VIA Disc NP procedure can be performed under local anesthesia or conscious sedation. Your doctor will determine which method is most appropriate for you. The VIA Disc NP allograft is then guided into the disc using standard imaging techniques and a special delivery needle. VIA Disc NP is an outpatient procedure with most patients going home a few hours after their procedure.
Wear and tear on the disc can cause flattening and degeneration
VIA Disc NP is delivered into the damaged nucleus through a one-time injection
After delivery, VIA Disc NP supplements nucleus tissue to support the natural cushioning function of the disc.
What is the RESTORE Study?
VIA Disc NP is currently being offered at select spine centers in the US through the RESTORE Clinical Study. If you qualify and decide to join the RESTORE Study, you may receive the VIA Disc NP procedure and all study-related care at no cost to you. You will also be compensated for your time and travel to attend periodic visits at your study doctor’s office to discuss your experiences and evaluate your progress.
